Reading with us
These terms apply when you use Quran Blog, create an account, join a discussion or purchase a membership. The publication is called Quran Blog. You can read public stories without an account. Some stories require a free account or an active membership; the article identifies its access level.
Use the publication lawfully and respectfully. Do not interfere with other readers, impersonate someone else, misrepresent credentials, scrape protected account information, circumvent access controls or attempt to compromise the service.
Your account
Use a valid email address and a display name you are entitled to use. Keep your password secure and do not share a sign-in to bypass membership access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Social sign-in connects a verified provider identity to your account.
You can update your profile and reading preferences in Settings. Reader accounts can be exported and deleted there. Editorial accounts need administrative support because they are connected to publication records.
Reader responses
Responses are reviewed before publication. You keep ownership of your original response and grant Quran Blog permission to store, display and moderate it as part of the discussion. Your display name is shown with approved responses. You can withdraw a response while it is awaiting review.
Do not post threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, spam, private information about others, misleading commercial claims or material you have no right to share. Editors may decline, edit for moderation or remove content that breaks these rules, and may restrict an account to protect the community.
Membership and payments
Membership provides the benefits listed for the selected plan. Friend of Quran Blog includes the same reader access and offers a greater contribution to the publication. Prices, currency and billing interval are shown before checkout. Purchases are available only when the publication has enabled its billing service.
Stripe handles checkout and recurring billing. Membership starts after payment and subscription status are confirmed by the billing provider. Renewals follow the monthly or annual interval you choose. Use Manage billing in Settings to change your payment method or cancel future billing. Access follows the expiry confirmed by the billing provider.
Deleting a paid reader account cancels its subscription and ends its account access. Cancellation and any refund or mandatory withdrawal rights remain subject to applicable law and the purchase details shown at checkout. Nothing in these terms takes away mandatory consumer rights.
Articles and authorship
Readers can apply to write by providing accurate experience, expertise, and original work. Writing access is available to approved applicants, invited contributors, and editors. Applications and supporting documents are private to the applicant and editorial team. Approval enables drafting and submission; stories remain subject to editorial review. Credentials and badges are assigned after separate verification.
Editorial articles, photography and other publication material remain protected by their creators' rights. You may share links and use lawful quotations with attribution; do not republish complete articles or remove authorship and image credits without permission. Our editorial principles explain sourcing, religious material, comparisons, commercial placements and corrections. Personal reflections are personal experiences. Articles do not replace individual instruction or qualified religious advice.
Links and device features
External links may lead to services operated by others, whose terms and privacy policies apply. A link is not a guarantee of that service. Browser narration depends on supported device voices and is an article-reading aid, not Quran recitation. Browser storage and internet access also affect the reading experience.
Service availability
We work to provide a reliable reading experience, but maintenance, network failures, provider outages and content changes can interrupt availability. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If a material paid benefit changes, the publication should explain the effect on existing membership and any applicable remedy.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publication is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account or failures of services it does not control. This does not limit responsibility or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Questions and changes
Questions about accounts, reading, responses and membership are covered on Help.
We may update these terms when the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes to a paid service or an account's obligations should be communicated before they take effect where required by law.
